ERRATIC MIRAGE

Susken Rosenthal´s crinkled cube deals with the theme of fata morgana.
Apparently the numerous panels of the crystalline sculpture are mirroring parts of a stereotype housing complex. Placed in the landscape the object appears like an erratic block that doesn´t belong there, like a mirage. Nowhere an existing developement can be seen.
The panels are indeed covered with fragments of photos that create the the illusion of a reflection. The real housing complex is located in the nearby district town of Bad Belzig.
In the frame of the project the object will be placed beforehand in ist original surrounding in Bad Belzig. From there it will migrate to the Landscape Fields near Baitz.
